Schedule & Line Up:
7:00PM – Gavin Alexander
Gavin attended Newcastle College of Music and studied guitar under James Birkett, contributing songs and music to in-house and local theatre productions. He developed his harmonic and melodic ideas while studying at G.I.T, London and went on to form a writing band “Why Bother” dipping into Kent’s pool of rich, talented musicians performing as a solo artist around Kent and London. He has three albums with his successful trio https://www.arcelia.co.uk/
He has recently collaborated with songwriters Keith Beauvais, Sandy Nuttgens and Jonathan Vincent to name a few and subsequently has much music played on many media platforms.
8:00PM – Jack Pound
Many singer/songwriters shine in the spotlight, many more have been heralded, but few can match the uncompromising, quality of work Jack Pound has produced over the years. In the past Jack has been compared to various artists such as Big Bill Broonzy, Mark Knofler and Guy Clark – In reality Jack is simply himself and against all prevailing musical trends has established himself as a low key, songwriting phenomenon.
A quirky, sophisticated, constantly innovative original with a veritable soundtrack to a cinema of songs.
8:45PM – Bernard Eveleigh
Bernie writes and performs songs and instrumentals on the guitar. He plays solo, with a duo – `The Mercurials’ and a trio – ‘The Pink Rubies’.
Bernie’s approach is to present a variety of styles – Blues, Latin, Folk, that he hopes underpins an overall personal
characteristic. His work lyrically has been described as “sweet meloncholia”.

Ty Watling is a respected guitarist and skilful songwriter from Kent, UK. He released his first solo album ‘Fruitful Harvest’ in 2012 and in recent years has moved to Ramsgate on the Kent Coast where he feels he can really immerse himself and focus on his craft.
Ty’s songs have been liked to those he draws inspiration from – Warren Zevon, Gram Parsons, Sandy Denny -not only able to write beautiful evocative lyrics but can create magical melodies to carry it along.
Over the past 15 years he has been fortunate enough to open for many great folk and country Artists including Richard Thompson, Julie Felix, Martin Simpson, Emily Barker, Josh Rouse and many more.
4:30PM – Mamas Funkin’ Skunks
It’s time to iron your lucky pants and put on your dancing shoes to the new original band Mamas Funkin Skunks. The quartet’s… hold on fivetet!… harmony laden earworms are sometimes thoughtful, sometimes stupid, often funky, but always captivating.
5:30PM – INTERVAL
SESSION 2
7:30PM – The Western Heights
The Western Heights are a Dover based trio playing original songs. Toby Oakes (writer/singer/guitarist) has been writing and performing sporadically for fifty years, he started working with Kevin Richards (bassist/singer) eight years ago and they were joined by Dave Robinson (drums) in 2022.
8:45PM – RALPH
Shed-based songwriting and recording project by Clyde Wright, Bradley Burgess, Andy Nunn & Sam Winwood.
10:00PM – The Embrooks
The Embrooks, from London and Folkestone down the south-east coast of England, are easily one of the finest names around, who are regally infatuated by the sounds made by 60s beat, garage and psychedelic groups.
The Embrooks have not only caught the sound and the feel perfectly of those mod-rocking, freakbeat-into-psychedelic combos of 1966-68, but also, with their lyrical maturity and confident sense of song construction, arrangement and the potential of the studio, they possess something of the natural zeitgeist, with a strong purpose as to what it means to be living and breathing smack bang in the middle of this uber-modern age.
